Real world experience is the best teacher. I am Sanford Friedman, founder of the Friedman Consulting Group, and I literally grew up in a small business. My business career began at the age of 10 when my father decided I would take over the family business. It was then my apprenticeship in business began learning it from the bottom up—from deliveries, floor set-up and back office work to planning, sales and finance. I learned first-hand all facets required to be successful in business and how they must work together.
